6:00 pm reception, 6:30 pm lecture, Donation $3 - $7 PG&E's Pacific Energy Center, 851 Howard St, San Francisco, CA 94103 ADPSR's Building Ecology Forum: The Village Lives by Mark Lakeman Co-Director, Creative Vision The City Repair Project Portland, Oregon Hear Mark Lakeman, co-founder of City Repair, a citizen activist organization in Portland Oregon that is building a more community-oriented and ecologically sustainable society. They have spawned numerous innovative public gathering places throughout Southeast Portland, including Share-it Square and more than a dozen projects built during the 2002 Natural Building Convergence that they hosted. His1.5 hour slide presentation will compare the space-time relationships of village cultures to the inversion of those relationships in unsustainable culture.
