The following resources can
assist in a sustainable or ecological approach
to architecture, planning, design and
construction. Several of the references are
interconnected in that organizations may also
publish periodicals, offer education programs or
have an Internet site. This list has evolved
from seminars on sustainability and social and
environmental responsibility, as well as
participation in programs such as Educating
Architects for a Sustainable Environment (EASE),
the Ecological Design Education Network (EDEN),
and the Architects/Designers/Planners for Social
Responsibility (ADPSR) network. NorCal ADPSR is
