The Architectural Resource Guide (ARG) helps specifiers and purchasers make more ecological and resource-efficient decisions with sustainable, less polluting, local and recycled building products. It is organized by the Construction Specifications Institute numbering system which roughly follows the standard sequence of building. Each division offers an introduction on "green building" practices followed by database listings of materials, manufacturers, distributors and comments. There is also a recommended reading list.

The electronic version is much more resource-efficient than the 250 page paper version with the same content and price. It comes with a run-time version of FileMaker Pro 4.1 which allows searches and the adding of your notes to the listings.
